Original hardware from that era used spring and track setups that don't match what's on the shelf at a big box store, and a tech who doesn't know that stock walks in guessing. What We Are Called Out For
Summer heat here is severe, and that shows up in the calls: openers that overheat and stop mid-cycle, nylon rollers that go brittle and crack, and steel panels that expand enough to bind in the track on the hottest afternoons. Torsion springs on doors installed during the 1960s-70s building wave are past the point where anyone should be adjusting them without proper cable retention. What We Do Not Take On
We work on garage doors and openers, springs, cables, tracks, rollers, panels, and the drive units that run them. We don't do general handyman work, gate systems, or fence gates even if they share a motor brand with a garage opener. If a door has been welded, home-modified, or rigged with parts that were never rated for it, we'll tell you straight that we can't warranty work built on top of that, and sometimes the honest answer is a new door rather than another patch. Parts for some of the older torsion setups common in the 1960s-70s stock around here aren't something we keep on the truck as standard stock, so a same-day fix isn't always possible, we'll tell you upfront if a part has to be ordered rather than pretend otherwise. We also don't give phone quotes for anything that needs eyes on the actual hardware; too many of these doors have been repaired once or twice already by someone else, and guessing at that over the phone does nobody any favors.
